When one hears the word ‘Diet‘, the first image in their head is of a small plate with very less food, mostly things that they don’t enjoy eating. The first word that comes to their mind is ‘starve‘. But starving isn’t synonymous to being on a ‘healthy diet‘. A healthy diet helps you eat what your body needs - what your body requires - and at the same time, what you need to satisfy your taste buds. Busting the myth of a diet being reduced, starved eating to healthy, real eating is important.
With an experience of over 15 years of working with a variety of clients, I always start with explaining the importance of accepting healthy eating as a way of life. If we look at it as a negative approach, there will always be a negative relationship with food. A positive relationship food is vital to healthy living.
